iDiagnose is an app designed specifically for healthcare professionals, including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and medical students. Developed by a board-certified physician and rigorously peer-reviewed by medical experts, this application offers a streamlined interface that facilitates access to essential clinical decision-making tools such as risk scores, algorithms, and diagnostic criteria.

This innovative medical application aims to assist users in accurately diagnosing commonly encountered infectious disease conditions. Emphasizing the principles of evidence-based medicine, iDiagnose utilizes mathematical assessments of risk to enhance clinical decision-making regarding diagnosis and management. By employing well-established research findings on population samples, iDiagnose supports healthcare providers in delivering precise diagnoses through the integration of pre- and post-test probabilities along with likelihood ratios.

The user-friendly interface allows professionals to select from a comprehensive list of diagnoses or conditions. Upon reaching the Condition screen, users can adjust the pre-test probability using a slider that reflects local prevalence; otherwise, default probabilities based on current literature are applied. Users can then input their findings by selecting applicable positive or negative likelihood ratios, resulting in an automatic calculation of post-test probabilities displayed at the bottom of the app. For certain conditions, diagnostic criteria or algorithms informed by established guidelines are utilized to validate or exclude diagnoses.

Moreover, detailed information regarding pathophysiology, clinical features, examination maneuvers, microbiology, diagnostic testing, and treatment options is accessible through the Additional Information screen via the Rx icon. The content within iDiagnose is meticulously referenced and supported by peer-reviewed scientific literature, ensuring that users have access to reliable and up-to-date information.
